Samsung's highly-anticipated Gear S3 smartwatch has been up for pre-order in Europe and the United States for about a week now. However, the smartwatch hasn't been shipped yet and it's unlikely that will happen until next week.

The Gear S3 has just been officially introduced in South Korea, so customers can already purchase either of the two variants: Frontier and Classic.

According to Samsung, the global rollout of the Gear S3 will start on November 18, and here are the countries that will get the smartwatch in the first wave: Australia, Dubai, France, Germany, Singapore, UK, and the U.S.

The immensely intelligent Gear S3 is a testament to our focus on evolving and leading the wearables category and ultimately delivering a smartwatch unlike any other on the market,” said Younghee Lee, Executive VP of Global Marketing and Wearable Business, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.

The second Tizen-powered smartwatch launched by Samsung, the Gear S3, will cost $350 in the United States, but the price should be the same in other countries as well.

In order to celebrate the launch of the Gear S3 around the world, Samsung announced it would roll out changeable watch band promotions. We're not sure what exactly that means, but fortunately, we won't have to wait too long to find out.

The Gear S3 is a Tizen-based smartwatch that sports a 1.3-inch 360p AMOLED display, which features Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ coating for extra protection. At its core, the Gear S3 has a 1GHz dual-core processor, complemented by 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

The smartwatch is powered by a 380 mAh battery, which should be enough for at least one day of full use. Samsung Gear S3 features IP68 water and dust resistance, as well as MST and NFC (Near Field Communication) connectivity support.
