Samsung has scheduled a press conference during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. The company has already announced that it won’t be introducing a new smartphone, but rather the long-awaited Galaxy Tab S3 tablet.

Just a few days ago, the manual for the Galaxy Tab S3 leaked, revealing some interesting features for the new S Pen stylus, which will be offered as an external accessory. Tab S3 owners will be able to use the S Pen for writing memos directly on the screen, without having to turn on the display.

The manual offered some information about the features inside the new tablet, and today’s report shows details about the tablet’s design. The images were leaked via Taiwan’s regulatory agency, where the tablet was submitted prior to its official release.

Metal and glass build for the Galaxy Tab S3

According to the leaked images, the Galaxy Tab S3 will have a metal and glass build, similar to the design of its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S2. Samsung may release only the WiFi variant in Taiwan, as the NCC listing reveals. The pictures also show the Samsung logo at the top of the tablet, while the camera sensor is visible on the back.

Physical home and navigation buttons are visible in the front, and the fingerprint sensor will most likely be embedded in the home button. The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to come with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution display and up to 4GB of RAM.

The tablet might also have a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 64GB of internal storage, a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP shooter in the front. Aside from these specs, the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat with Grace UX on top. Pricing and availability for the upcoming tablet will be revealed during the MWC event.
