Samsung is expected to announce its new flagship Android tablet on February 26 during the Mobile World Congress 2017. Pictures and information about the tablet’s specs have surfaced these past few weeks and the latest report says the tablet will come with an S Pen.

Samsung intends to ship the S Pen as an external accessory, as the tablet itself doesn’t come with a slot for the stylus, such a design is reserved for Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. The report by SamMobile says that the Galaxy Tab S3 will also come with a Keyboard Folio and Book Cover case as additional accessories.

The Galaxy Tab S3 won’t be the only non-Note device to receive an S Pen. Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, is rumored to come with the same S Pen stylus as an accessory, to bring additional functionality. It’s unclear if the S Pen will have all features found on the Galaxy Note 7 or only a few tools. That remains to be seen on March 29, when the smartphone is rumored to be unveiled.

Two variants of the Galaxy Tab S3

Recent rumors say that the Galaxy Tab S3 could come in two variants, one with WiFi and the other with LTE support. US customers will be able to get the tablet from Verizon and US Cellular, but it might be made available to T-Mobile and AT&T as well.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to come with a 9.6-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, a very powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The tablet is said to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which isn’t surprising considering that it’s a flagship tablet. Rear camera capacity is said to be 12MP, with a 5MP unit in the front, while the tablet is expected to arrive in March in South Korea and its price could start at $600.
