Great news for Samsung fans, as the South Korean company won't skip Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year even if the Galaxy S8 is not expected to be announced in late February.

The handset maker has just announced its MWC 2017 press conference will take place on February 26. The teaser features the stylish silhouette of a tablet, which is none other than the long overdue Galaxy Tab S3.

Samsung's high-end tablet should have made its debut last year, but due to unforeseen issues with the Galaxy Note 7, the South Korean company decided to delay the Galaxy Tab S3 until this year.

Now that Samsung announced that the Galaxy S8 wouldn't be unveiled at Mobile World Congress, something had to take the flagship's place in the spotlight.

The Galaxy Tab S3 seems a suitable replacement for the Galaxy S8, considering Samsung doesn't have any other high-end products ready to be unveiled as soon as February.

Two variants will be announced at MWC: 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only

Since we've been talking about the Galaxy Tab S3 for several months now, we know quite a bit about the tablet's specs. After recently being certified at FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to be released worldwide.

We're also expecting some carriers in the United States to pick this one up as well, though the bulk of sales could be made through Samsung's online and retail stores.

Spec-wise, the Galaxy Tab S3 is truly a high-end product. The slate is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and possibly 32GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot).

The tablet will sport a 9.7-inch display that supports 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. A fingerprint sensor is likely to be embedded under the Home button.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. We have also learned the slate will pack a 12-megapixel camera on the back, along with a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.
