Samsung is rumored to launch another tablet as part of the Galaxy Tab S series, and some specs and pictures of the device have already surfaced online. An unidentified Samsung tablet has passed through the United States of America's official certification authority, the FCC, and some believe that it's the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7.

Some rumors have suggested that Samsung might unveil the next Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 tablet in early September, possibly during IFA 2016, scheduled for September 4-9 in Berlin. The tablet could be unveiled together with the Gear S3.

The FCC listing doesn't come with many indications on the tablet's specs, but it does mention its dimensions, namely 237.1 x 168.8 mm. Images show two docking pins on the rear of the device, which are similar to the ones that were incorporated on the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7.

Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 could come with a 4,000mAh battery

The tablet is said to come with multiple connectivity options, including 4G LTE, Bluetooth (Version 4.2, LE+EDR), 802.11b/802.11g/802.11n/802.11ac Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and GPS. It could also have a CPU clock speed of 1.6GHz, but the information should be taken with a grain of salt, considering that none of these specs is official just yet.

Little is known about the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7, but some rumors suggest that it could have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while battery capacity could reach 4,000mAh, and the tablet could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is also said to come with an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie snapper.

A variant of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 was recently released at T-Mobile, and the tablet boasted a 9.7-inch AMOLED display and 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, together with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC and an Adreno 510 GPU. The tablet also packed a 5,870mAh battery and ran with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
