Major carrier Sprint has just announced that Samsung's newest Galaxy Tab slate will be available through its official retail channels beginning September 3.

The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 will be available for purchase for $650 outright or $550 with new 2-year agreements. In addition, customers will be able to pick this one up with Sprint Easy Pay for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.

According to Sprint, Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 can be activated on one of the individual tablet data plans from Sprint starting as low as $10 per month.

Sprint's data plans include the following data allowance: 100MB for $10, 1GB for $15, 3GB for $35, 6GB for $50, 12GB for $80, and 30GB for $110.

It's also worth mentioning Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 tablet can also be added to a Sprint Family Share Pack with a $10 per month access charge line.

Also, for a limited time, customers that sign up for the Sprint $100/10GB or $120/40GB Family Share Pack, Sprint will waive the access charge as long as the customer stays on the plan.

Powerful Exynos CPU and hyper vibrant display

When it comes to specs, the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is quite decent. The slate ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

On the inside, the tablet is equipped with an octa-core Samsung Exynos processor clocked at 1.9GHz, which is complemented by 3GB of RAM. The slate packs 32GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

As the name suggests, Samsung's tablet sports a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, which is said to provide a bright and more dynamic viewing experience with rich colors and a crisp picture.

The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 comes with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera that features autofocus, F/1.9 lens, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Last but not least, the slate is powered by a 5,870 mAh battery and offers many connectivity options, including 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
