14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung released its latest tablet in the Galaxy Tab A (2016) series a few months ago, and the new device comes with a 10.1-inch display, 2GB of RAM, and a massive battery of 7,300mAh. What's more, the tablet boasts WiFi and cellular options. It seems, however, that Samsung felt the need to introduce a new iteration of this model, as the upcoming Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen has just leaked in images.
SamMobile has gotten their hands on promotional pictures of the upcoming Galaxy Tab A (2016) tablet with S Pen. The device seems to have roughly the same specs as the tablet released in May this year. This means that the upcoming model will be incorporating a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.
Since the tablet has yet to be announced, details on the specs are quite scarce, but it could come with the same rear camera capacity as on the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), specifically 8MP. Front camera capacity on the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) reached just 2MP, but the battery capacity was quite impressive, 7,300mAh.
The tablet also ran Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, the new model will likely run the same Android OS version. The tablet was available in two color variants, Pearl White and Metallic Black.
The S Pen will come with screen off memo and the new Samsung Notes app
The addition of an S Pen certainly makes the upcoming tablet more appealing to consumers, although its specs aren't quite the most powerful. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) will come with the same S Pen found on the Galaxy Note 7.
This means that the S Pen will boast all the features found on the previous Samsung flagship, including Air Command and the ability to translate words by simply hovering the stylus above it. The S Pen also features the screen off memo and the new Samsung Notes app.
In addition, Barnes & Noble has also released a rebranded Galaxy Tab A tablet with a 7-inch display. Considering that images have already leaked, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) with S Pen will be arriving soon.
