Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S9 smartphone has recently been spotted on Geekbench, giving potential customers some insight into the device's performance with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 SoCs.

According to the Geekbench entry (via Techtastic) of a device named "Samsung SM-G960F," which apparently is the Samsung Galaxy S9 with an Exynos 9810 SoC and running Google's Android 8.0 Oreo mobile operating system, scored 3648 points on the single-core test and 8894 on the multi-core one.

Samsung is rumored to unveil the Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones on February 25, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. The devices will be sold with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in the United States and China, and the Exynos 9810 SoC in other parts of the world, including Europe.

And it looks like the Exynos 9810 variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9 is quite faster than the model using Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC in both the single-core and multi-core benchmarks, according to the Geekbench scores showcased by Techtastic. The Geekbench scores also show that Apple's A11 chip is way faster than both.

Galaxy S9 and S9+ pre-orders start on March 2, 2018

Despite the performance difference of the two chips, Samsung's Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones will come equipped with impressive features like 12MP cameras with super slow-motion and variable aperture mechanism that lets users adjust the aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.4, as well as 8MP selfie cameras.

While the Galaxy S9 will have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S9+ variant comes with a bigger, 6.2-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5: 9. As far as the RAM configuration goes, Galaxy S9 has 4GB RAM and Galaxy S9+ will be available in two variants, with 4GB and 6GB RAM.

They'll come with fingerprint and facial recognition scanners, waterproof casing, wireless charging, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C connection, and stereo speakers, among various other features that will be unveiled later this month. Pre-orders start on March 2, 2018, and the devices are expected to hit the shelves on March 16.
