Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are now official shipping worldwide, the company has announced.

Let’s not confuse the official announcement for Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+with the current news, which actually says that they are now available worldwide. This means that you should be able to find them in stores everywhere, provided that not too many people want them.

Now, in case you’re wondering if your country is among the 70 ones chosen for the launch, don’t be afraid. If you live in the U.S., South Korea, Canada, China and all of Europe it’s likely that you will get a chance to buy one. The rest of the territories will follow soon, depending on the demand.

What’s so different about the current generation?

We’ll have reviews for both devices very soon, and they are analyzed in great detail, but here are the major feature in broad strokes. Both devices come with Dual Aperture lens that allows the camera to quickly adapt to sudden changes in luminosity, customizable AR Emojis, AKG-tuned stereo speakers, and a Super Slow-mo feature.

Of course, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+have some important differences as well. For example, S9+ has a 6.2-inch display as opposed to S9 which has only 5.8 inches. Also, the S9+ has 6GB of RAM and dual cameras. On the other hand, S9 has only 4GB of RAM and a single back-camera.

The batteries are different as well, but that’s to be expected given the size of the displays, although the S9+ is expected to feature an extended stand-by battery life.

“The Galaxy S9 and S9+ introduce an array of innovative features to the Galaxy series, unveiling exciting new ways for users to capture and share special moments, express themselves, and interact with the world around them,” says Samsung in their announcement.
