Samsung Galaxy S8 will be announced on March 29 during the Unpacked event, which will be held in New York City and London. Many renders and live images of the smartphone have already leaked, and now case maker Spigen posted renders of the Galaxy S8 with the phone encased in company products.

The Galaxy S8 will have a new design, one that ditches the physical home button in the front and relocates the fingerprint scanner to the back of the phone, next to the rear camera. Since the standard Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature a 5.8-inch display and the larger S8+ a 6.2-inch screen, the fingerprint sensor location could be uncomfortable for some users.

Nonetheless, the images offer a clear view of the Galaxy S8 in various cases, showing off the main camera and the back panel, as well as the small top and bottom bezels. They also show the Samsung logo on the bottom bezel and the back panel.

Dedicated button for Bixby virtual assistant

The images also show the Galaxy S8 having a dedicated button for Bixby, Samsung’s own virtual assistant that should launch with the latest flagship. There are also volume rockers and a home/power button on the side of the phone.

When it comes to specs, the Galaxy S8 will pack the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC or Exynos 8895 chipset, depending on the market. RAM capacity is said to reach 4GB, with some reports saying that a 6GB variant could be launched in China.

The smartphone is expected to have 64GB of internal storage and USB Type-C port. Another exciting feature is the DeX Station, which will provide the flagship with PC-like functionality, similar to Microsoft’s Continuum.

The Galaxy S8 is said to be launched together with a new Gear VR headset, one that could accommodate the bigger display and offer USB Type-C connectivity option.
