Even though the Galaxy S8 will be a no-show at Mobile World Congress (MWC), it looks like there's a lot of interest in Samsung's flagship. If you haven't followed our previous reports, then you should know that both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be announced on March 29.

The flagship smartphones will go on sale globally on April 21, so there's plenty of time to learn more about Samsung's high-end devices. Speaking of information, a new picture showing the Galaxy S8 has just been published at Slashleaks.

The phone shown in the image is wrapped in a protective case, so a lot of things are left to the imagination. More importantly, the picture falls in line with previous leaks concerning the Galaxy S8, so there's a high chance that this is indeed the real deal.

The front side of the phone shows an edge-to-edge display and the rather slim upper and bottom bezels. One the back, the 12-megapixel dual pixel camera and LED flash are present, alongside the fingerprint sensor.

The on-screen thouch controls aren't visible in the picture

There's a fierce debate on Samsung's decision to position the fingerprint scanner next to the main camera rather than below, which makes it harder to reach. Even if this has been confirmed by this picture as well, we won't know how awkward it will be to use the fingerprint scanner until we have the Galaxy S8 in our hands.

Earlier today, a list of partial Galaxy S8 specs leaked online. Among the highlights mentioned there's the large 5.8-inch curved-edge display with Quad HD+ resolution, as well as the 8-megapixel selfie camera and iris scanner.

The phone lacks a physical Home button, but the on-screen touch keys are not visible in the image leaked today. On the inside, Samsung added 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable memory, along with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

Samsung fans anxious to know more about the Galaxy S8 should stay tuned as the device maker is expected to run a 1-minute teaser during its MWC 2017 press conference on February 26.
