All eyes are on Samsung today after the company announced the results of its Galaxy Note 7 investigation and the measures that it took to avoid a similar situation in the future. Now that we can put the whole Note 7 debacle behind us, let’s focus on the upcoming Galaxy S8.

Samsung’s Mobile Chief DJ Koh already stated for Reuters that the Galaxy S8 wouldn’t be announced during MWC 2017. He didn’t say when the phone would see the light of day, but previous rumors point to March 29 as the unveil date, with the phone hitting stores sometime in April.

We have seen quite a few renders of the upcoming Galaxy S8 and the latest comes from Twitter user @VenyaGeskin1, who posted a picture of a Galaxy S8 render showing off the phone’s design. The picture is in line with some previous rumors stating that the phone will have a dual-curved display, somewhat different from that of the Galaxy S7 edge.

It does seem that the screen is more curved at the sides, having very tiny bezels that support the power button and volume rockets. As expected, the physical home button is nowhere in sight, Samsung might embed the fingerprint sensor right under the display or on the back panel.

The top and bottom bezels are quite small, and Samsung’s logo isn’t visible in the front. One thing worth mentioning is the bottom bezel which appears to have quite an irregular shape, rather discrediting this latest leak.

One interesting piece of information regards the color of the phone. Previous renders showed the Galaxy S8 in a shade of gold, but this image reveals the phone in Blue Coral color. It won’t be any surprise if Samsung releases a variant of the Galaxy S8 in Blue Coral considering that it was quite popular among Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7 users.

The image also shows the phone’s Always on Display feature, revealing the current time and battery status on the screen.

Moving on, images of screen protectors that leaked last week showed multiple cutouts at the top of the front panel, this render doesn’t really have that many. Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy S8 with an iris scanner, but that remains to be seen. As with any leaked information or render, take this new report with a grain of salt as nothing is certain until the phone is actually unveiled.
