14 DAY TRIAL // With the announcement of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, Samsung is also expected to introduce new accessories, including a DeX Station to provide the new phone with PC-like functionality.

The DeX Station comes with a USB Type-C port for powering the Galaxy S8, the product doesn’t have integrated wireless charging, but it does allow fast charging through the port. In addition, it comes with two USB 2.0 ports, a 100Mbps Ethernet port and an HDMI port to power 4k displays at 30fps. The built-in cooling fan keeps the Galaxy S8’s temperature at low levels. The DeX Station will carry a price tag of €149.99.
5,100mAh power bank for the price of €69.99
Aside from the DeX Station, Samsung will also offer a 5,100mAh power bank for users to charge their Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S+ smartphones while they’re on the go. The power bank will be available in grey and blue colors with USB Type-C charging and 15W fast charging features. The official accessory is said to cost €69.99, a bit pricier than current power banks.
When it comes to the battery capacity inside the new flagship, the standard Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8+ might have a 3,500mAh battery capacity.
Since we’re on the subject of accessories for the Galaxy S8, it’s worth mentioning that Samsung will also offer a pair of AKG earphones with the new flagship. The earphones confirm the fact that the new smartphone will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, despite some early rumors that suggested otherwise. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be announced on March 29, during the Unpacked event in New York and London.
