If you happen to be one of the many customers anxiously waiting for the Samsung to launch the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ flagship, here is some new information that might interest you.

First of all, the standard model, the Galaxy S8, will sell at most European retailers for €800. However, for the larger version, customers will have to pay €100 more. These prices are for basic versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ that come with 64GB storage inside.

Aside from confirming the retail prices, smartphone pundit Roland Quandt is also suggesting the smartphones will be available in three color options: Black, Silver and Violet. According to him, the information comes from a European retailer, so availability and pricing may vary by country.

Basically, this means that other regions and countries may get different variants based on the colors. For example, Italy is expected to get the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in Black, Gold and Blue, but that doesn't mean the other two colors, Silver and Violet, won't be released in this country at some point.

It's hard to guess Samsung's plan for the release of its next Galaxy S smartphone, but we can safely assume that some carriers and retailers will score some exclusivity deals, at least for a limited time.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29. The smartphones were initially expected to go on sale on April 21, but due to issues with the Snapdragon 835 chipset, the launch of the Galaxy S8/S8+ has been pushed to April 28.

Both versions will come with curved-edge displays and similar hardware configuration, but the Galaxy S8+ will boast a larger 6.2-inch display, whereas the regular version will sport a 5.8-inch panel.

They will be available in two variants, with either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, but both will feature microSD card for memory expansion.
