14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung Galaxy S8 was revealed in a number of renders over the past few days, and a new image shows the phones in three color options, Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver. The new render posted by Evan Blass shows the phones from all angles.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are revealed in three colors, and the render shows the two phones from four angles, including their sides and front and back panels. The fingerprint sensor is visible on the back panel, right next to the LED flash and rear camera.
Because of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ curved display and black top and bottom bezels, the front panel looks almost the same regardless of the back panel’s color. In addition, the darker top bezel doesn’t make the sensor cutouts so obvious.
Details about the Galaxy S8 display resolution also revealed
The Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch display, while the larger Galaxy S8+ will come with a 6.2-inch screen, but the two devices have the same design. Details about the phones’ display resolution surfaced, indicating that the resolution can be changed with a simple slider.
Users will be able to improve battery efficiency and performance by adjusting the resolution from low to maximum. The leaked image reveals that the Galaxy S8 will have display resolution options like HD+ (1480×720), FHD+ (2220×1080), and WQHD+ (2960×1440).
FHD+ might be the default option on the Galaxy S8, so that display quality and battery life would be balanced. The menu for adjusting display resolution will be available in the Settings app. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on March 29, when the company will also unveil a new power bank and DeX Station for the two phones. The latter accessory allows users to connect their smartphones to a monitor and enjoy PC-like functionality.
