Samsung doesn’t wish to take any chances when it comes to the battery inside its upcoming flagship and there have been many leaks regarding crucial details about the new phone. The latest reveals the batteries for both the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Two leaked images show the battery capacity for the standard Galaxy S8 with a 5.8-inch display and the larger Galaxy S8+ with a 6.2-inch screen. As previously rumored, the standard model will draw power from a 3,000mAh battery, while the larger phone will use a 3,500mAh juicer, considering that it has a larger display and thus consumes more power.

A previously leaked photo showed that while the two phones will have a WQHD+ (2960×1440) resolution, the settings menu will offer users the option to adjust the resolution and thus save battery. Moreover, the default resolution on the two phones appears to be FHD+ or 2220×1080 pixels.

Samsung may also implement new refund policy for Galaxy S8 users

Another piece of information resulted from the new pictures is the fact that the batteries are made in Korea and assembled at Samsung’s factory in Vietnam. The Galaxy Note 7 drew power from batteries that were made in China.

Following the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco and the battery problems of the late phone, Samsung decided to diversify its battery suppliers and is said to have contracted many companies. One such supplier is Japan’s Murata Manufacturing Works.

In order to regain consumer trust after last year’s flagship failure, Samsung also intends to offer an unconditional refund option for Galaxy S8 customers. Therefore, customers will be able to test out the phone for three months, and if they don’t like it, they may receive a full refund from Samsung.

This information hasn’t yet been confirmed by Samsung, while reports say that the offer may only be available to customers from the company’s home country. We’ll just have to wait until the March 29 unveiling to see what Samsung has in store for the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
