There are many rumors regarding Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S flagship smartphone, but none has been confirmed by the South Korean company yet.

If you're willing to believe some of these rumors that come from various sources, more or less reliable, here is another one that has just emerged online.

According to Italian blog HDBlog, Samsung Galaxy S7 will come with a 5.2-inch flat display that is likely to support Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

In addition to the flat Galaxy S7, the South Korean company plans to launch an Edge version that is said to boast a much larger 5.7-inch curved display.

Furthermore, unlike the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will feature a slight curvature on side and bottom edges, in addition to left and right sides.

Another piece of information provided by “reliable sources” is the fact that microSD card slot will make a comeback in Galaxy S7.

The Edge variant will be much more expensive

Although Samsung thought it would be a smart idea to align itself to the choices made by other handset makers that decided not to include microSD card slots into their high-end smartphones, the decision turned out to be not so good after all.

Well, it looks like Samsung has learned from its mistakes and has decided that the Galaxy S7 should pack a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Other rumors that we've already reported on suggesting that Samsung Galaxy S7 will come equipped with a powerful Exynos 8890 chipset while another variant will pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor.

Also, the upcoming flagship smartphone could embed Samsung's latest BRITECELL technology for its main camera. Last but not least, Galaxy S7 could become the first Samsung smartphone to feature USB Type-C port if rumors prove to be accurate.
