Samsung Galaxy S7 rumors have been flying around for quite a while, ever since the Galaxy Note5 has stopped being the point of interest for phone users.

So far, we know that Sammy will produce two variants of the Galaxy S7 this year, one powered by the Snapdragon 820 and another one that will take advantage of the new Exynos M1 processor, the one with Samsung’s custom CPU cores called Mongoose.

But a new report coming out of Sam Mobile now claims that the Galaxy S7 will end up being released not in two versions but three. Remember that a while back we told you that the Galaxy Note5 would make a debut into the wild with an Exynos 7422 chipset under the hood?

Well, this didn’t turn out to be the case, as the Note5 arrived on the market with the same Exynos 7420 chipset that also powered the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

The Exynos 7422 rumored to make a debut with a Galaxy S7

As it turns out, the Exynos 7422 wasn’t just a gimmick the rumor mill made up. The chipset really exists and will power the Galaxy S7 variant which will launch in India.

Units bundling the Exynos M1 (or 8990) will be sold in Korea, Japan and European markets, while the Snapdragon 820-based model will be up for grabs in the US and China.

For the time being, we advise you to take this information with a healthy grain of salt, but if the report turns out to be genuine, it would be the first time that Samsung releases a Galaxy S flagship in so many variants.

The rumor mill is getting pretty hot about the Galaxy S7, and we've recently told you that Samsung might be looking to launch the upcoming flagship with a magnesium alloy unibody.

Apparently, the supplier was tasked by the company to deliver a magnesium alloy case with a surface as smooth as the aluminum that Apple utilizes with its current iPhones. Magnesium alloy is thought to bend and be a lot lighter compared to aluminum alloy.

We’ve also heard that the Exynos 8890 variant of the Galaxy S7 could arrive with 3GB of RAM, while the Snapdragon 820-powered one will have 4GB on board. No word yet on the RAM capacity on the third version.
