Following the grand release of the Samsung Galaxy Note5, we’ve been seeing an avalanche of leaks related to the Korean tech giant’s next-gen flagship, the Galaxy S7.

While we’re still several months away from actually seeing the phone being released, we already know a few things about it. Like the fact that it will supposedly come with a phablet-like size of 5.7 inches and that some variants will run on the Snapdragon 820 platform.

Well, now we get another batch of rumors related to the same Galaxy S7 flagship. Korean sources cited by the G for Games publication reveal that Samsung plans to take a different approach with the Galaxy S7 and will offer it to consumers with a larger form factor. Which makes us wonder whether the Galaxy Note6 will see an increase in size too.

Samsung supposedly testing dual cameras for the Galaxy S7

Furthermore, we’re told that the Galaxy S7 will take advantage of a dual-camera setup, something we have already seen in the HTC One M8 and Huawei Honor 6 Plus.

Apparently, both Apple and Samsung are interested in the advantages of dual camera tech and Samsung has even started testing out prototypes which are poised to go into devices as soon as next year. Just in time for the Galaxy S7 flagship.

Moving along, the current source comes to “confirm” once again that the Galaxy S7 will come in two hardware configurations. Samsung is avidly testing the Snapdragon 820 to see whether the chipset doesn’t have the same problems as the Snapdragon 810.

The second variation of the Galaxy S7 will take advantage of the company’s in-house Exynos M1 SoC. But according to the report, the bigger share will go to the Exynos M1 variant, so the Snapdragon 820 version is not going to be so widespread.

Last but not least, we’re told that the Galaxy S7 will be unveiled ahead of schedule (like the Galaxy Note5), so we won’t have to wait until MWC 2015 in early March. According to the information at hand, the Galaxy S7 will arrive as soon as late-February to be more precise.

With Samsung accelerating its release schedule like this, do you think the Galaxy S7 will be worthy of an upgrade?
