After images and specs have been leaking for weeks, Samsung and AT&T have finally launched the Galaxy S7 Active with a fingerprint scanner and very powerful specs. The smartphone is available through two different plans and comes in three color variants.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is set to be launched on June 10, and it seems that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer and the U.S. carrier decided start promoting the smartphone already.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is now available through AT&T and comes in three color variants, Sandy Gold, Camo Green and Titanium Gray.

The smartphone comes with shatter and water resistance thanks to its IP68 certification, which means that you can dunk the smartphone in up to 5 feet of water for 30 minutes and the phone should still work.

Shatter resistance is a feature that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge doesn’t have, but it’s quite necessary on the Galaxy S7 Active considering that it’s the rugged variant in the whole series.

It’s the first Galaxy S7 Active to come with a fingerprint scanner

The S7 Active is the first Galaxy Active to come with a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in the home button. It’s a nice addition that would surely make the smartphone even more appealing to fans.

The smartphone also comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and a powerful Snapdragon 820 processor. It also comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, expandable to 200GB. The smartphone carries a rear camera of 12MP and comes with Samsung Pay.

Battery capacity reaches 4,000mAh and the Galaxy S7 Active comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box. There are two monthly plans that users could get in order to buy the Galaxy S7 Active.

The AT&T Next plan requires users to pay $26.50 per month for 30 months, while the AT&T Next Every Year plan makes the phone available for $33.13 per month for 24 months.

Fans can also get two S7 Active smartphones on AT&T Next and receive up to $695 in bill credits over 30 months. Pricing for the unlocked SIM variant has yet to be announced.
