Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphones during its Unpacked event confirmed for August 13. The event will take place in New York City and is likely to include the company's next smartwatch model as well.

Since we have already learned most of the details about Galaxy S6 edge+ specs, the only thing that remains to be unveiled would be the release date and the pricing options of the high-end smartphone.

Although we're still two weeks away from the smartphone's official unveiling, it looks like the folks over at SamMobile have been tipped by sources familiar with Samsung's plans on the price tag and availability of the Galaxy S6 edge+.

According to these unnamed sources, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be available on the market beginning August 21.

The handset is likely to be launched worldwide on that date, so we expect it to be available in most countries where the South Korean handset maker sells its high-end products.

The enhanced version of Galaxy S6 edge will cost less than the original

As for the price, customers will be able to pick this one up for at least €800 ($880) outright. Obviously, this price is for the cheapest version of Galaxy S6 edge+, which comes with 32GB of internal memory.

The 64GB model will be more expensive, but we're not sure by how much; it could cost €900 ($990) or even €950 ($1,040). We doubt there will be a 128GB model since the standard Galaxy S6 edge model with the same amount of storage did not sell well at all.

For those who don't remember, the first Samsung Galaxy S6 edge was launched back in April for €850 ($935), which is why the South Korean company will permanently drop the price of the original model by the time the enhanced version hits stores.
