There’s a good chance these photos are accurate

Just like the iPhone 8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is almost here, and leaks keep landing at a pretty fast pace, showing us what the new device could look like ahead of the public unveiling.

And the leak we’re getting today via SlashLeaks is very close to the real deal, with the device shown in the photos aligning with all the previous reports concerning the Note 8.

First and foremost, the Note 8 will indeed be very similar in terms of front design with the Galaxy S8+, and that’s no surprise: the phablet will use a 6.3-inch display versus the 6.2-inch on the existing model, so it’ll be hard to tell them apart at first glance.

The leaked photos show the Always On Display active, with information displayed on the edge screens blurred for obvious reasons. The device looks sleeker at the first look despite the 6.3-inch display, though it remains a pretty tall phone that’s likely to feature an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Improved pen, oddly-placed fingerprint sensor

The back of the phone is the one bringing more novelties, as the Note 8 features a dual-camera configuration and a fingerprint sensor that’s placed closer to the edge of the device.

The Galaxy S8+ moved the fingerprint sensor from the front of the screen on the previous model to the back, as a result of Samsung removing the home button completely and making bezels narrower, but instead of placing it in the middle of the rear side, the sensor was positioned in the upper part and becoming very hard to reach.

The same approach appears to be used for the Galaxy Note 8 as well, though the fingerprint sensor is a little bit closer to the right side of the phone this time.

Other than that, the device looks very similar to the Galaxy S8+, so it’ll remain to be seen how Samsung manages to convince buyers not to buy the more affordable model. The Note 8 is expected to cost at least 1,000 Euro in UE and at least $1,000 in the US.
