Samsung unveiled its latest flagship smartphone earlier this month, and the Galaxy Note 7 has really made waves on the market with its powerful specs and dual-curved display. Now it seems that the company has finally released the device in China.

Rumors from a few weeks ago pointed to Samsung's intention to launch a more advanced version to the Chinese market, more precisely, a Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Later, the company confirmed that such a model did exist, which got many fans excited at the prospect of Samsung potentially releasing it to other markets as well.

The South Korean company has finally unveiled the Galaxy Note 7 variant for the market in China, and sadly, it doesn’t come with the rumored specs, according to Playfuldroid. Instead, the model seems to resemble the one released in the US not long ago.

The smartphone has already received over one million registrations

The smartphone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The company applied the same strategy as with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, in the sense that the Note 7 variant for the Chinese market comes with Snapdragon 820 chipset.

Except for the market in China and the US, the Galaxy Note 7 packs the Exynos 8890 SoC. In addition, the Galaxy Note 7 released in China has a quad-core CPU and Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

Aside from this, the device comes with an enhanced S Pen, an iris scanner for unlocking the phone and securing content stored on it, as well as Gorilla Glass 5 for extra protection for the screen. In addition, it features a dual-curved 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, IP68 certification, and a 3,500mAh battery.

The smartphone carries the price tag of about $898 in China, and it already received over one million registrations two hours after its unveiling. Registrations will run until September 1.
