Note 7 is still on sale despite the first and second recall

Earlier today we told you that a store in Hong Kong was still selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 despite the fact that the South Korean firm already recalled the device, but it turns out that you don’t have to spend too much time searching if you want to get the phone.

There are several Note 7 models for sale on eBay, and some seem to be extremely pricey, as is the case of this one. The seller wants no less than $2,000 in return for a used Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which he says is “not verizon model, original v1 recalled model. T-Mobile version, near mint condition, lightly used. Hasn't exploded...”

While it’s pretty clear that it would’ve been really hard to get $2,000 for a phone that already exploded, it’s not uncanny to see people still selling their Note 7s online, despite the fact that Samsung is recalling the phone and recommending everyone to switch it off because of the risk of explosion.

And it’s all because of that part of the userbase which has no intention to bring the Note 7 back because they believe the risk of an explosion is not as big as others claim it to be. And a comment posted on this eBay ad says the same thing.

“Samsung Note 7 is the best phone of 2016. I own it since day one. I am not returning it even if they give me money on top of what I paid. I did a lot of research and tried other phone, but no other phone is available in the market which can replace my Note 7. Of course, haters will keep talking bad, it’s not news and the world knows.”

It remains to be seen if anyone still wants to buy a Note 7 given the ongoing recall, but the biggest challenge for the seller shouldn’t be selling the phone, but sending it to whoever wants it. Several delivery services have already banned the Note 7 amid risks of explosion, the phone is already forbidden in trains and airplanes, and authorities seem to be afraid of the device both in the US and overseas.
