Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is certainly the most anticipated smartphone to be unveiled in the next few weeks, and leaks on the upcoming device continue to surface. The latest comes in the form of a video that seems to show the USB Type-C cable that will be employed on the handset.

Although nothing is carved in stone at this point, multiple rumors appear to suggest that the Galaxy Note 7 will be provided with a USB Type-C cable. The first suggestion of such a port appeared back in May, when some people hinted that the Galaxy Note 7 would also be coming with a new Gear VR. Reports of a new Gear VR headset surfaced again earlier this month, when a new Gear VR was spotted on Zauba.

Galaxy Note 7 has leaked in many images recently, but it seems that none has shown clear evidence of ports on the smartphone, making it difficult to say that USB Type-C on the device is a certitude, although the general consensus would indicate such a port.

Nevertheless, a video coming from Vietnam via Tinhte shows a cable with the model number EP-DN930CWE. The video actually reveals three cables, one belonging to the Microsoft Lumia 950, and the two other made by Samsung in Vietnam. The white USB Type-C cable has a plastic wrap around it, featuring the N930 model number, which is similar to the one we've seen in multiple leaks.

If Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 does come with USB Type-C port, that would mean that Samsung is definitely set to release another Gear VR this year in order to pair it with the highly anticipated phablet. That would make sense, since the previous headset came with micro USB connectivity.

USB Type-C connectivity ensures higher data transfer speeds, faster charge, not to mention that the plug is reversible. The Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled during the Unpacked event scheduled in New York on August 2.
