Samsung unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7 in early August, and the smartphone is set to hit shelves today in multiple countries. A recent report reveals that the South Korean giant has been having some supply issues, and the number of Blue Coral and Silver Titanium variants will be limited.

According to Android Central, customers who pre-ordered the Blue Coral and Silver Titanium models of Galaxy Note 7 might have to wait up to 3 to 4 weeks before they receive their phones. The report mentions that the issue could affect customers in the US and Canada, countries where the handset is set to arrive in stores today.

Moreover, unnamed sources have stated that the company is overwhelmed by the high number of pre-orders that it has received for the smartphone, especially for the Blue Coral model. Moreover, Samsung Canada has stated that the situation is unprecedented and that it will work with carrier and retail partners to ensure national availability of the smartphone.

The release date for Galaxy Note 7 has been delayed in multiple countries

Reports from the past few days have shown that Samsung has been having trouble with limited stock in several countries, as the company has decided to postpone the Galaxy Note 7 release in several European and Asian countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, and Malaysia. Customers in these countries will have to wait until September to get their hands on the device.

It doesn't seem surprising that the smartphone has been so well received, considering that reports have pointed to the fact that Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 will record double shipments in the third quarter of this year as compared to the Note 5. Analysts say that the South Koreans will produce about 3 million Note 7 units in the third quarter, compared to 1.6 million units of Note 5 last year.

Aside from this, Samsung is also preparing to launch a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the Chinese market only. The phone is rumored to arrive on August 26.
