We're just a few weeks ahead of the alleged unveiling of the Galaxy Note 5 and information about Samsung's next flagship smartphone continues to pour in.

The latest details on the phablet “confirmed” that Samsung might include some sort of auto-eject feature with the Galaxy Note 5's S Pen, but the new picture of the smartphone does not seem to confirm this information.

The folks over at Nowhereelse have just published a few images of a Galaxy Note 5 prototype unit, which shows the smartphone's S Pen features a small gap that allows users to pull it out with their fingernails.

That wouldn't be the case if the S Pen would be ejectable via a dedicated key or gesture. However, considering that this is clearly a prototype, Samsung might still include this auto-eject feature inside the final version of Galaxy Note 5.

Non-ejectable S Pen isn't a deal breaker

Still, with only a few weeks left until Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 5, there's little chance that important new features might be added.

Apart from the that, nothing else has been revealed about Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that we didn't know of from previous rumors.

It's worth mentioning that the prototype seems to be an AT&T version of the Galaxy Note 5, so we expect the major carrier to be among the first to offer the phablet this year.

For those still out of the loop, here is a quick recap of what the Galaxy Note 5 has to offer in terms of specs. First of all, it's expected to boast a large 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.

On the inside, the phablet will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The presences of a microSD card slot is still debatable, but we do know the smartphone will pack a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to be unveiled on August 12 and rumor has it that the phablet will go on sale as early as August 21.
