14 DAY TRIAL // Before the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 got unveiled last week, we were telling you that a dual SIM version of the phablet might also be making its way on the market, but we weren’t really sure the information was reliable or not.
The thing is, word on the street whispered the second dual SIM slot might be double purpose and also take in a microSD card slot, a feature we know lots of Samsung fans will be missing from the Note 5 version.
Well, as it turns out, the Galaxy Note 5 dual SIM version exists, as spotted with an online retailer, and is already available for purchase in the Philippines. But probably more markets will be getting this variation as well. Meanwhile, the folks at Android Community have managed to get their hands on a bunch of leaked images showing a disappointing truth.
No microSD card slot for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Sadly, it appears that the Galaxy Note 5 dual SIM does not house a microSD card slot after all, in this sense being pretty much the same as its international counterpart. So there you have it, folks, it appears you’ll have to get used to the idea, there is no expandable storage option when it comes to Samsung’s latest phablet to date.
The Galaxy Note 5 launched last week, but if you missed the scoop, we’re talking the opportunity to remind you that the phone was launched with a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 518ppi, a 14nm octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC working in concert with 4GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal storage (and above).
The phone also features a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) plus a 5MP frontal snapper for selfies and video chats. The camera app offers pretty much what the Galaxy S6 does plus the Auto and Pro modes.
