14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 (2017) have just leaked in hands-on videos, revealing specs and features to be expected on the new smartphones. The two phones were listed somewhere in Russia and full details were disclosed.
The Galaxy J5 and J7 (2017) appear to feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB port and microphone, together with physical home buttons that incorporate fingerprint sensors, according to a report. The Galaxy J7 (2017) will come in four color options, including Silver, Black, Gold and Pink. It will have IP54 certification with protection against water and dust damages.
The phone will also feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution, together with an Exynos 7870 chipset. The battery capacity will reach 3,600mAh and the phone will also come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card.
Moreover, the Galaxy J7 (2017) will feature NFC and Samsung’s MST tech for mobile payments. The front camera will be a 13MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture, while the rear camera will have the same sensor. The report also mentions pricing for the new phone, so the Galaxy J7 (2017) will have a price tag of about $340.
The Galaxy J5 (2017) was also featured in a hands-on video and some of its specs were revealed. The phone comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 720p resolution. The Galaxy J5 (2017) has 2GB of RAM and a 3,000mAh battery. The selfie camera has a 5MP sensor, while the phone runs Exynos 7570.
The rear camera will be identical to the Galaxy J7 (2017) with a 13MP sensor, while the Galaxy J5 (2017) will have 16GB of internal storage with the option to expand using a microSD card. The phone’s price could reach $300. For the time being, though, take the information with a grain of salt. Although images appear to match previous leaks, specs will be confirmed only when the two smartphones are actually released.
