Samsung has yet to announce the mid-range Galaxy J7 (2017), while information about the upcoming phone continues to surface regularly. Recently, the smartphone paid a visit to the FCC and some of its specs were confirmed.

An interesting piece of information that we can gather from the FCC is the fact that the upcoming Galaxy J7 (2017) will feature a full metal body with antenna strips at the top and bottom of the phone. The device is also said to feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, together with an USB Type-C port, but that still needs to be confirmed.

Aside from this, the phone’s rumored list of specs is said to include Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 625 platform, together with 2GB of RAM and just 16GB of internal storage. The Galaxy J7 (2017) might have a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 13MP rear camera, with a 5MP selfie snapper in the front.

The mid-range smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat, while information about its price tag is unknown, but it will surely fall into the category of affordable devices.

The Galaxy J7 (2017) will be offered by a number of US carriers

The Galaxy J7 (2017) already received certification from Bluetooth SIG, while the latest FCC listing reveals that it could arrive to the US very soon. However, it won’t carry the Galaxy J7 (2017) retail name.

Verizon will sell the smartphone under the Galaxy J7 V retail name, while Sprint, Virgin and Boost Mobile will offer it as the Galaxy J7 Perx. The Galaxy J7 (2017) will arrive at TracFone under the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro name. AT&T will also offer the device, but the retail name at the US carrier is unknown.

Last year’s Galaxy J7 was launched in late March and it featured the same display size and internal storage, while RAM capacity was 3GB. We’ll just have to wait for the Galaxy J7 (2017) to launch and see what Samsung has in store for this mid-ranger.
