T-Mobile confirmed last week that it would add two affordable Samsung smartphones to its portfolio of Android devices. Today, the Magenta carrier made both Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and Galaxy Grand Prime available for purchase through its official retail channels.

Potential customers can now grab the Galaxy Core Prime for just $140 outright, while the Galaxy Grand Prime has been priced at $190.

This is not the first time customers in the United States hear about these two Samsung smartphones since Galaxy Core Prime already made its debut in the country at Verizon Wireless, while the Galaxy Grand Prime has been released at Cricket and Sprint.

Still, those who prefer T-Mobile as their favorite carrier will now be able to get either of the two affordable smartphones beginning today.

Even though they are priced very low, the Galaxy Grand Prime is definitely the better device between the two. It comes with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and a decent 2,6000 mAh battery.

The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Both come with LTE support, Lollipop

On the other hand, the Galaxy Core Prime sports a smaller 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports only 480 x 800 pixels resolution and a 2,000 mAh battery.

There's also a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) resolution coupled with a 2-megapixel modest camera in the front.

However, both devices are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processors and 1GB of RAM. They also pack 8GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Another piece of good news is that both Samsung smartphones ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
