Samsung is currently working on a new smartphone in the Galaxy C series, and the device has started appearing on several benchmarking sites. The Galaxy C9 was recently spotted on Geekbench and it seems that the smartphone has also made an appearance on AnTuTu.

The AnTuTu listing shows that the Galaxy C9 might be coming with a powerful 16MP front camera, according to SamMobile. This is quite impressive considering that there aren't many smartphones out there with such a high capacity selfie camera.

There aren't any other details on the front camera, but it seems that the Galaxy C9 might also come with a 16MP rear camera and 6GB of RAM. Internal storage seems to be set at 64GB, with the option to add more using a microSD card.

The Galaxy C9 could come with a 6-inch display

The smartphone may have a display size of 6 inches with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It appears to run Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with an Adreno 510 graphics processing unit. In addition, it runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and chances are the smartphone will receive updates to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Aside from this, the Galaxy C9 could come with a premium metal body, as featured on the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Samsung debuted the new Galaxy C line in May this year and made the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 available for purchase in June.

The smartphones are only sold in China for now and, most likely, the Galaxy C9 will be limited to the same country. If Samsung keeps the current configuration on the Galaxy C9, the device could be the first Samsung phone with 6GB of RAM.

Earlier this year, Samsung was rumored to release a 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage variant of the Galaxy Note 7 in China, but then the company announced the recall and nothing else was heard about the model.
