Samsung has been working on a couple of mid-range smartphones that should arrive to the market soon. The Galaxy C9 has been spotted on Indian import-export site Zauba, and a new leak seems to indicate that the device could arrive in October or November.

This means that Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy C9 in about two months' time, according to TechUpdates. The report also mentions that the smartphone could come with a 5.7-inch display and it will carry the code number SM-C9000.

Based on the rumored display size, the smartphone could be a bit larger than the screen on other devices in the Galaxy C series. For example, the Galaxy C5 came with a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display.

The smartphone was recently imported into India for testing and is internally known as “Amy.” Zauba listings don’t normally contain many details on upcoming smartphones, but this time it did reveal the size of the display.

Samsung Galaxy C9 could come with 4GB of RAM

Not much information is known about the Galaxy C9 for now, except for the fact that the display's resolution could reach 1080 pixels and the smartphone may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 617 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It’s quite unknown at this point if the smartphone will be available in other markets than China.

The Galaxy C9 could be the successor to the Galaxy C7, which was released earlier this year. The smartphone came with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It also ran Snapdragon 625 SoC and Adreno 506 graphics processing unit.

Users of the device received 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. It had a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home screen and a 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The Galaxy C7 launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
