14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung is working on two new smartphones in the Galaxy C series, the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro, with a premium design. Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro was recently spotted on Zauba and some of its specs were revealed.
The smartphone carries the codename SM-C7010 and seems to feature a 5.7-inch display. The listing doesn’t reveal any other details about the phone, except for its import price of about $204; the retail price for the device will surely differ. The smartphone was imported to India for testing.
The launch date of the upcoming Galaxy C7 Pro is unknown at the moment, although we suspect Samsung will announce the C7 Pro and Galaxy C5 Pro at the same time.
The Galaxy C7 Pro will be more advanced than its predecessor, the Galaxy C7
The Galaxy C7 Pro should come with more advanced specs compared to the Galaxy C7, which was announced this year in May. The phone had the same display size as the upcoming C7 Pro, a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.
Other than that, it ran a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, coupled with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit, which were significantly more powerful than the Galaxy C5’s Snapdragon 617 processor and Adreno 405 GPU.
The device was offered in two variants, one that came with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the other had 64GB of local storage. Owners could enhance internal memory and add up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The Galaxy C7 came with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button and there’s no reason for Samsung not to provide fingerprint authentication on the upcoming Galaxy C7 Pro as well.
Battery capacity on the Galaxy C7 reached 3,300mAh and came with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which would allow the phone to charge faster than the normal pace. Rear camera capacity was 16MP, with an 8MP sensor in the front. It’s unclear if Samsung will make the C7 Pro available in other markets than China, but more information on the phone will surely surface soon.
