Samsung was expected to unveil the new Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro this December, but the company apparently decided to delay the announcement. The reason the South Korean company made this decision is unknown, but it might have something to do with the Galaxy Note 7 recall that’s been keeping employees busy.

New information points to the fact that the Galaxy C5 Pro and 7 Pro could arrive in the first month of next year, specifically on January 21. The rumor was posted on Chinese social network Weibo (via GSMArena).

The rumor says that the two phones could arrive a week before the Chinese Spring Festival, held every year in January. The phones will be announced in China first, and it remains to be seen if they’ll make their way to other countries as well.

The Galaxy C5 Pro is expected to have 4GB of RAM

Some specs of the upcoming phones have been revealed, the Galaxy C5 Pro is said to come with a Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. The phone could have a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, a 16MP camera on the back and a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy C7 Pro has the same processor model inside, 2.2GHz octa-core SD 626 coupled with 4GB of RAM and the same storage amount of 64GB. When it comes to the front and rear camera, the phone will have 16MP shooter on both sides. The device was recently spotted at TENAA, carrying a 3,300mAh battery.

The display of the Galaxy C7 Pro will be larger than on the C5 Pro, 5.7 inches with 1080p resolution. Both phones are said to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and have USB Type-C ports, together with Samsung Pay and Grace UX, previously found on the Note 7.
