Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 Pro in March this year, and it was the most expensive smartphone in the Galaxy A series. The device was made available in China, and it seems that the company has now decided to bring it to shelves worldwide.

Samsung's Galaxy A9 Pro international variant was spotted online quite some time ago, as the device passed through the FCC and got Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certification. The wait seems to be over, though, as the phone is currently sold by Malaysian retailer Senheng for about $500.

Interestingly enough, Samsung hasn't listed the Galaxy A9 Pro international variant on its Malaysian website, which means that an official launch could be prepared for the upcoming days.

The Galaxy A9 Pro is a slightly upgraded variant of the Galaxy A9, which debuted late last year. The international variant should have roughly the same specs as the device that was launched in China in March of this year.

Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a fingerprint sensor

The phablet comes with a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and has a pixel density of about 367 pixels per inch. At its core, the Galaxy A9 Pro international variant is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with Adreno 510 graphics processing unit.

In addition, the handset comes with 4GB of RAM, compared to the 3GB of RAM found on the Galaxy A9, while internal storage reaches 32GB. Then, the smartphone packs a 16MP rear camera that incorporates optical image stabilization, f/1.9 aperture lens, and LED flash. The front camera has a capacity of 8MP, with the same aperture lens and the ability to record videos at 1080p resolution.

The device boasts a 5,000mAh battery, comes with a fingerprint sensor and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It's unclear when the Galaxy A9 Pro international variant will be available in other markets too, but it shouldn't take too long for this to happen.
