Last month, we reported that Samsung was working on new iterations of Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 smartphones, and it seems that details on the upcoming Galaxy A7 (2017) have surfaced online at PriceRaja, via GSMArena.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A7 (2017) has been spotted on GFXBench, and it seems that the smartphone could come with an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU and a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The screen size is sufficient for watching all sorts of videos in a comfortable way.

The device could also come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, as the listing suggests. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy A7 (2017) could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, with an update to Android Nougat sometime after its release.

The handset’s selling point is definitely the 16MP front camera, which seems to come with FHD video recording capabilities. Besides, it also has a 16MP rear camera, which will surely make it an exciting device.

The Galaxy A7 (2017) will most likely be announced together with the Galaxy A3 and A5 (2017)

Although benchmark listings do offer insight on the specs that an upcoming device will pack, they don’t provide the final list of specifications, considering that the manufacturer usually tests multiple configurations before settling on the final version. That being said, the specs of the Galaxy A7 (2017) could change as it approaches its release date, which is unknown at this point.

The front camera is quite the upgrade over its predecessor, the Galaxy A7 (2016) released in 2015 and that had a 5MP camera on the front. The smartphone was quite exciting with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage that could be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card.

In addition, rear camera capacity reached 13MP with OIS, and the device carried a 3,300mAh battery. It was announced together with the Galaxy A3 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016). Samsung is expected to work on new versions of these two smartphones as well, and they will most likely be unveiled together with the Galaxy A7 (2017).
