This is not the first time we learn about Samsung's new smartphones in the Galaxy A series, which might suggest the South Korean company is close to make them official.

Sequels to the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 have been spotted in the last couple of weeks in various countries and different official entities.

Today, two unannounced Samsung smartphones have been listed in GFXBench database, which seem to be sequels to the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7 mid-range handsets.

These Samsung smartphones go by model number SM-A310 and SM-A710, which is why we believe they are the sequels to the handsets mentioned earlier.

The first one, Samsung SM-A310 has been confirmed at GFXBench to sport a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Decent specs, hopefully, priced decently

The phone is equipped with Samsung's Exynos 7580 SoC (system-on-chip), which packs a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 1.5GB of RAM.

There are 16GB of storage inside, a 13-megapixel camera on the back and another 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front.

Next in line, the SM-A710 comes with a much larger 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Also, it packs 16GB of internal memory, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.

Both Samsung smartphones are preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operation system, so this is probably the platform they will run at launch as well.

Even though there's no word on when exactly these smartphones will be announced, we expect the new Galaxy A handsets to hit shelves by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more on this one.
