14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung recently introduced its new Galaxy A (2016) series of smartphones, which is aimed at those who aren't quite fond of the company's flagship handsets, but still want premium design and features.
The first three smartphones that will make their debut in China in mid-December are Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2016). They will be rolled out globally in the coming months, but no exact release date has been given for each country.
If you still don't think that these Galaxy A series phones will meet your demands and prefer to wait for Samsung to launch a mini version of the Galaxy S6, then you might have to wait forever because the device might have been canceled.
We reported back in July that some pictures of the alleged Galaxy S6 mini leaked online, along with some of its specs. Well, it looks like those specs match perfectly with Galaxy A3 (2016)'s, so the device has been renamed and given another target and purpose.

Even Samsung notes in the press release that “A is the new Mini,” AndroidPit reports. It's also worth mentioning that we're less than a month away from the end of the year, and Samsung doesn't look like it's going to release another smartphone in the next few weeks.
With the upcoming launch of Galaxy S7, which is supposed to be unveiled in February 2016, it's hard to believe that Samsung would want to debut a Galaxy S6 mini version so close to the launch of its flagship smartphone.
But the Galaxy S6 mini might not be the only device canceled by Samsung this year. The entire Mini series might have been canned by the South Korean company for the new A lineup.
So, if that upsets you, know that you have quite a lot of other alternatives that you can take advantage of, including Samsung's new A series smartphones.
