Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled on August 2, and the company stated that the smartphone would be made available for purchase on August 19. Now it seems that Samsung has announced the commercial launch of the Galaxy Note 7 in select markets.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is now available for purchase in the US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, and Korea. The handset has been well received on the market so far, as it seems that it has even recorded an outstanding number of pre-orders in certain countries, including Canada.

Samsung has also informed us that certain color variants of the Galaxy Note 7, like Blue Coral and Silver Titanium, are in limited supply. As a matter a fact, reports from the past few days have been pointing to the fact that the South Korean giant might be struggling with a supply issue when it comes to the Note 7, considering that the official release of the phone has been delayed in multiple European countries.

Samsung has prioritized the US and other markets over part of Europe

It seems quite obvious that Samsung doesn’t see Europe as one of its main strong points and has prioritized the US and Canada. Nevertheless, the smartphone will be arriving in Europe next month while customers in some Western and Central Europe countries can already pre-order it.

Analysts also say that Samsung could see double shipments with the Note 7 in the third quarter as compared to the Note 5. It’s not surprising, considering that the device boasts some unique features and enhancements in the Note series.

It has multiple security options, culminating with the iris scanner that allows users to lock their phones and content, as well as conduct financial operations. Other than that, it comes with IP68 certification, 4GB of RAM, enhanced S Pen, a 5.7-inch QHD Dual Edge Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820, a 3,500mAh battery and other exciting features.
