New arrival meets The Biebs, snaps selfies with him

Before she made her debut on Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” this season, Ruby Rose worked as a model - and she enjoyed great levels of success, too. Ruby isn’t just a startling beauty, what with her exquisite facial features and extensive body art, but she also stands out for being gender neutral or gender fluid.

Much like pop star Miley Cyrus, she identifies as neither male or female, and has often spoken to the press about the need for more gender fluidity, where people could be themselves without falling neatly into one box or another.

If all this failed to make Ruby’s name ring a bell with you, then perhaps her appearance on the Netflix show, as Stella (who is also gender neutral) did the job.

Ruby Rose and Justin Bieber

This is also where the Justin Bieber joke was made on a much larger platform than before. You see, by the time she taped the episode, as per her own admission, Ruby had grown accustomed to being mistaken for Justin Bieber.

After all, they have about the same way of dressing, they’re both covered in tattoos and they have faces of similar shapes. Throw on a basketball cap and a pair of sunglasses, and low-slung jeans, and no wonder high school girls stop Ruby on the street asking for her photo and an autograph.

That really happened, she told Vanity Fair earlier this month.

Miley Cyrus too resembles The Biebs, but she gets off easier by dressing differently. Ruby, not so much.

So when Netflix writers actually included a joke about how she was “Justin Bieber” thrown in a female prison, her fans loved the irony of it.

The comparison also helped her become even more famous, though chances are the Internet would have still gone crazy over her because she’s this beautiful and has the attitude that makes her stand out from the crowd.

Ruby and Justin meet, have fun

Over the weekend, Ruby and Justin finally met and got to pose for selfies and fan-photos, thus putting to rest the rumor that they’re one and the same for good.

Obviously, no one really believed they were one person, but just like with the Miley comparisons, the similarities provided quite a few laughs online.

Before they met in LA, the two actually exchanged pleasantries on Twitter, where she posted a pic of herself at a piano covered with Justin Bieber plates. She agreed to have him come over to play it, but only on the condition that he didn’t touch the plates.

Then, they met and the result was the photo above, which she captioned with “brother.” Their collective fanbases will settle for them twinning this way, now that we’ve established they’re different people.
