Rose McGowan, who is now promoting her directorial debut, the short film “Dawn,” got herself fired by her agent after she went on Twitter to expose a sample of the sexism in Hollywood, in the form of a casting call note she’d received for a new Adam Sandler movie.

The Twitter post went live some days ago, and you can see it below: it was a note that asked of her to show up on set in dark clothing, with a tight tank top and a push-up bra, showing cleavage. She later explained that what she found the most amusing about it was the mention that she should read the script for “context.”

In a new tweet, the actress tells her followers that she’s been fired by her agent because she dared to go public with what she describes as typical Hollywood BS.

For the record, Adam Sandler’s management tried to get out of the pickle by saying they had no idea the casting call was sent out in this form. Had they known, they wouldn’t have allowed it to happen.

In reality, this is something that happens in most Hollywood productions, and all you have to do is look at the leading pair (assuming there is a female leading actress as well) to know it: while guys can be fatter or older or even less good looking, as relative as that may be, the women must all be fit-to-skinny, pretty-to-hot and possibly wearing tight clothes, in which they’re required to run for the extra… bounce.

Just recently, Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Claire in “Jurassic World” got a lot of attention for being able to outrun a T-Rex in high heels. While wearing a low-cut tank top, of course.
