Apple is expected to launch the new-generation iPhone sometime next month, and a new leak that has reached the web today comes to confirm for the millionth time that the Plus version will feature a dual-camera system.

But today’s leak is also living proof that a Gold Rose version of the next iPhone is planned, as is also the case with the current generation. Despite rumors that Apple could launch a Deep Blue or black version of the iPhone, there’s still no strong evidence that Cupertino is willing to release a new model aside from the existing 4 currently available as part of the 6s lineup.

Obviously, the alleged iPhone “7” Plus pictured here comes with the overly discussed dual-camera configuration that should allow for better photos regardless the conditions. You can read more about how the dual-camera system on the next iPhone is going to work here.

How about the name?

The next-generation iPhone will feature several other hardware upgrades, including 3GB of RAM (this could be exclusive to the Plus model, given the new camera system), the A10 lineup of chips, as well as a bigger battery, needed especially because the phone requires more juice to process the photos, but also to provide at least one day of battery life with an average usage pattern.

But what’s also interesting is that multiple sources are indicating that Apple isn’t planning to call the next-generation iPhone “iPhone 7,” but stick with a variation of the iPhone 6 name.

As a result, there’s more evidence that Apple could launch the new model as iPhone 6 SE, as it plans to save the iPhone 7 name for the 2017 generation, when the iPhone also celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Certainly, there’s so much more to find out about the next-generation iPhone, and don’t expect to hear anything official before the public unveiling, which, according to sources, could take place in the first half of next month, with sales to begin shortly after that.
