Feral Interactive, the UK-based video games publisher, announced today the availability of the Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration video game on the Linux platform.

After being released on Apple's macOS platform last week, the Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration video game comes today to Linux gamers, and this special edition has all the DLCs released since its official launch more than two years ago, including Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Blood Ties, and Cold Darkness Awakened.

Additionally, brave Linux gamers will be able to play the game with the brand new Extreme Survivor difficulty level, as well as to enjoy the new Expeditions modes, including Lara's Nightmare, Endurance Mode, and Expedition Cards. You can buy Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration right now from Steam or Feral Store.

"Harness Lara’s growing talents in a dramatic action-adventure ranging from Syria’s sun-baked ruins to Siberia’s frozen mountains. Play as the young archaeologist as she conquers tombs, outpaces rivals, and establishes her legend. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration bundles the base game with all DLC ever released for the game," said Feral Interactive in today's announcement.

Linux system requirements for playing Rise of the Tomb Raider

If you want to play Rise of the Tomb Raider on your Linux gaming rig, it must be powered by Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aardvark) or a similar operating system, an Intel Core i3-4130T or AMD equivalent processor, 8GB RAM, and a 2GB AMD Radeon R9 285 (GCN 3rd Gen and above) or 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 or better graphics card.

For the best gaming experience, it is recommended to have a computer with an Intel Core i7-3770K processor, 12GB RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980Ti graphics card. At least 28GB of free disk space is required for playing the game, which needs Vulkan and the proprietary Nvidia 396.18 or later graphics driver for Nvidia GPUs.

For AMD Radeon GPUs, you must have the open source Mesa 17.3.5 graphics stack or later installed, as well as Mesa 18.0 or later for Radeon Vega GPUs. According to Feral Interactive, the game is not supported on older AMD Radeon GCN 1st and 2nd generation graphics cards, nor Intel graphics cards.
