Designer teases what’s to come in a few weeks

Samsung has confirmed that it is hosting an Unpacked event in New York on August 13, which most likely means that we are going to see the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ make a debut on that date.

In anticipation of the grand unveiling, designer Ivo Marić has posted a few high-resolution 3D renders which give us a clear glimpse of what’s to come in the upcoming weeks. The conceptual artist says that the renders have been created based on the rumors we have seen flying around, as well as the Galaxy S6 smartphone.

As you can see for yourselves, the pictures display a very sleekly designed phablet with ergonomic curved back, plus the iconic S Pen stylus sitting right under the display. The phone sports a metal frame and glass on the front and back, just like it’s the case with the Galax S6.

What we expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to bundle

The most recent rumors indicated that the Galaxy Note 5 would arrive on the market with a 5.7-inch QHD display (2560 x 1440 pixel resolution) and would bundle an Exynos 7422 processor under the hood. This is an improved silicon piece when compared to the Exynos 7420 found on board the Galaxy S6.

Anyway, the phablet will be the first device Samsung puts out with 4GB of RAM on board. It will also don a 16MP camera as the main shooter, plus a 5MP selfie snapper. The Galaxy Note 5 is poised to solve some of the Galaxy S6’s biggest problems. For starters, it will come with a larger 4,100 mAh battery and will probably offer the services of a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Still, the battery will not be removable.

The most recent information seems to suggest that Galaxy Note 5 won’t come with an USB Type-C port like the OnePlus 2. It appears Samsung needs a little bit more time to incorporate the new USB standard into its products.

We are only a few weeks away from the grand launch event, so we’re pretty excited to see what the Galaxy Note 5 has to offer. On the other hand, Samsung is said to be focusing its marketing strategies on the Galaxy S6 edge+ instead, and not on the phablet, which will only be available in select markets at launch.
