Tick! Tack... As much art as it is environmentally friendly.

Being a motorcycle enthusiast can be hard when you try to be environmentally responsible at the same time. Not only do these two-wheeled vehicle release their fair share of pollution into our atmosphere, but they also eventually turn into a large pile of junk.

In addition to that, many bikers are still reluctant to buy a zero-emission, electric motorcycle, mostly because they say it doesn’t offer the same thrilling experience a conventionally-powered one.

However, ways of contributing to the environment do exist despite those things, and one creative biker is here to prove that.

As much artist as motorcyclist, Michole Madden decided to reuse old motorcycle parts and other found objects to create one-of-a-kind timepieces.

Titled reCycle Clocks, these unique items come in a range of different colors and you can even put in a custom order specifying exactly how you want your new clock to look.

Despite what some might think, reCycle Clocks are not as easy to make, and ask for passion and dedication. However, Madden says she is willing to do that for you.

“If you have a part from your motorcycle (or I suppose from someone else's motorcycle, as long as you have permission) I'd love to transform it into a reCycle Clock,” Madden says.

But let’s see how she does it. At first, she looks for the right parts then goes on to find just the right backings. Then Madden says she spends a couple of days soaking, cleaning and polishing every piece.

After painting and powder-coating the parts, Madden finds the right combinations and moves on to the drilling, filing, bolting and wrenching.

“Finally, I select just the right clock hands to add the finishing touch and a battery to bring it to life,” the enthused artist concludes.
