Great news for Windows Phone fans in China, as native OEM Ramos is readying its first Windows Phone handset, the Q7.

This is not the first time we hear about Ramos Q7 since the smartphone was showcased earlier this year at a Hong Kong electronics fair, but that was just a prototype so we didn't know whether or not the Chinese company would go ahead with the launch.

Today, the smartphone received TENAA's approval, WindowsBlogItalia reports. This means that the Ramos Q7 is ready for launch and the Chinese company can officially introduce the smartphone in the next few months.

Ramos Q7 is not an ordinary smartphone and this fact can't be argued. The device comes with a the largest display ever included in a Windows Phone handset, which measures no less than 7-inches.

Unfortunately, the very large display only supports HD (720p) resolution, which means there will a be a lot of space left unused by the manufacturer.

An affordable smartphone with huge display and battery

Nevertheless, Ramos Q7 is an affordable smartphone, so full HD (1080p) display would have probably increased the phablet's price unnecessarily.

When it comes to hardware, the Q7 will be equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory with microSD memory expansion (up to 32GB).

We also know Ramos Q7 will pack a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a modest 2-megapixel selfies camera. Last but not least, Ramos will also include a huge 4,000 mAh battery inside the Q7, which is more than welcome since the 7-inch display should require quite a lot of energy.

There's no telling when the phablet will go on sale, but we know it will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system right out of the box. It's also worth mentioning that Ramos Q7 will be upgradeable to Windows 10 Mobile when Microsoft release it later this year.
