Two choices, one big button and you get pizza at your door

A new iPhone app is the new hit in the AppStore and its promo video is going viral. "Push for pizza" is an app created by a few teens who were too lazy to order a pie so they created an app for people like them. The app sparks a bigger debate for our trust in technology.

Push for Pizza is only available for the iPhone and it has been dubbed as "the easiest way to order pizza. Ever"

The app is Free and it has a different monetization model. It does not charge users for using the app, but rather for delivering the pizza. When you first launch the app, it asks you to enable push notifications and then you have to create an account. Each user is asked for his or her address and how he wants to pay. Usually, just by entering the credit card details, you complete the sign-up process.

When you want to order a pizza, just tap the big button that has a pizza slice on it and it will show up at your door. Everything is paid automatically, including the tip for the pizza delivery guy.

Sure, you can change the order if you want to. You get to choose between different pizza places to mark your favorite. If you do not want to choose the place, the app can pick a random restaurant for each delivery. The only choices for pizza are Cheese and Pepperoni and you can add up as many slices as you want.

After the order is complete, you get a confirmation on the screen with the restaurant name, address and phone number. That is followed by an email with your order details and the receipt. The usual price for a cheese pizza in US is $14.50 (€10.85) and for the pepperoni one, the user has to pay $16.50 (€12.35).

According to The Verge, the app is using ordr.in and delivery.com to make things happen in the background.

The promo video for "Push for Pizza" is just as fun. It was created by Adam Lisagor of Sandwich Video, one of the most popular creators of tech-related commercials in the business. The clip shows how the teens got the idea for creating the app and how to promote it. Adam Lisagor himself shows up in the video as the pizza delivery guy.

The guys that made the app have added a social component to their website. They want to create the largest user-generated collection of pizza photos. Using the hashtag #pizza, they are adding new photos all the time.

On different websites, the app has sparked a debate on whether teenagers are getting too lazy and this app is making it worse. Also, trusting an app to pay for us and choose a restaurant may cause issues as well.
