Apple has posted a new Selection of apps for those who want to change location, or just for the traveler in you.

The selection is described in the AppStore as a quick way to find the places and services you need, whether it is a restaurant, a same day cleaner or a local TV Station. The AppStore Editors have done a great job of finding the essential apps to most American large cities.

The list has something for the ones who want to go to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC, Seattle, Austin, Philadelphia, Miami, Dallas and Las Vegas.

We're going to dive into those cities and randomly pick Miami. Each city has a representative photo at the top of the page followed by a selection of "News and Radio" apps published by local media outlets: 7 News Miami, NBC 6 South Florida, Hurricane by the American Red Cross are just a few of them.

One thing worth mentioning is that all apps are free.

After you watch the news, you'll get the essentials for transportation and parking. You need to get around town if you are going to move there, so knowing the bus or trolley schedule and having that info always available in your pocket for free is a must.

Your time must be dedicated to one of the Local Teams. Funny enough, you can find all sports and teams in the AppStore. OK, we know you only need to know about Miami HEAT. And there's an app for that.

After that, there are six apps for "Things to Do" and the same number of applications for "Eating Out." Nightlife is on the same list with just two apps, but you can get to know all the shopping Malls and Supermarkets by downloading their apps. Next up is the "Helpful Services" list, followed by "Beauty and Salons".

And last but not least, if you are just visiting the city, make sure you download one of the four apps in this category.

If you decide you should stick with San Francisco or New York, there are more apps to choose from. We know this depends on the developers as well. For example, in the San Francisco folder we can see some new categories as well, like Public Services.
