A new stable version of the free open-source, cross-platform qBittorrent BitTorrent client used in Linux, Mac, and Windows computers was released on September 11, 2016.

qBittorrent 3.3.7 comes one and a half months after the launch of the previous maintenance update, namely qBittorrent 3.3.6, and according to the release notes, it only adds a single feature, fixes four annoying issues reported by users since then, and updates the search functionality.

The biggest and single new feature introduced in qBittorrent 3.3.7 is the ability to delete both the downloaded files/folder and the .torrent file using a single keyboard shortcut. So it's now a lot easier to delete a torrent and its files from the list of torrents on qBittorrent, just press the Shift+Delete key combination on a selected torrent.

As mentioned before, the internal search functionality of qBittorrent has been updated in this new maintenance version, and it looks like the KickassTorrents and BTDigg torrent search engines have been removed, and the Torrentz search engine received an update.

Mac OS X builds coming in the next days based on Qt 5.6.0

As for the bug fixes, we can tell you that the app now offers better error logging and handling with SMTP servers, it is possible to load a GeoIP database of any size, the "6-hour speedplot point push rate" was repaired, and the "Open containing folder" operation will no longer execute a new Explorer window in Microsoft Windows.

However, it appears that an issue still remains with building the qBittorrent for the Mac OS X operating system against the Qt 5.6.1 GUI toolkit, so users will have to wait a few days for the binaries, as they need to be rebuilt with Qt 5.6.0 instead. In the meantime, you can download qBittorrent 3.3.7 for GNU/Linux and Windows from our website.
